Philips DreamMapper has access to the following permissions:

Location
Approximate location (network-based): This is to set up Bluetooth communication. A location is required to acquire the pair.

Photos/Media/Files
Read the contents of your USB storage: This is needed to access the scanned and stored image that the camera takes of the Device Serial Number (DSN).

Storage
Read the contents of your USB storage: This is a way to access the DSN image that might be stored on the SD card (some Androids devices store images to the SD card). This is the default behavior when you ask for the Photo/Media/Files access.

Camera
Take pictures and videos: Used to scan the DSN.

Other reasons
Receive data from Internet: DreamMapper needs to communicate with its Data Center.
View network connections: Wi-Fi setup as well as the need for DreamMapper to communicate with its Data Center.
Pair with Bluetooth devices: First-time connection to another Bluetooth device.
Access Bluetooth settings: First-time connection to another Bluetooth device.
Full network access: DreamMapper needs to communicate with its Data Center.
Prevent device from sleeping: Prevents the phone from “going to sleep” while playing videos.

It won't pair on Android 14 Pixel 7. if I have to call support to get it to pair that's ridiculous. The device is paired to my phone but the dream mapper app won't see it. When I tried to pair through the app it didn't work. I restarted the phone that didn't work either. There's no way I'm going to spend 20 minutes on the phone with support just to figure out why this thing won't work with basic Bluetooth.

Why have the reviews? No one from Phillips replies or reads them. Same excessive disconects from last reviethe app report shows 10 to 17 disconects per night. There is no way that is correct. This defect started a couple of weeks ago. I am wondering if I am getting the correct therapy. Thumbs down on the Dreamstation two. 👎 It was working great. I have a new phone (Android) and the app will not connect to the unit. I had no issues with connecting to my vehicle so it's not my phone. Frustrating.

The app is terrible. The machine itself seems to connect to my phone without issues, but the app can not connect to the machine. I was able to use it a single time, when I first installed it, to get my reports for the previous day. Since then, it hasn't been able to connect and load data from the machine. This app fails to function at its most basic task, which is pulling information from the machine to be able to review it.
